Application guide

How and when to apply

Timing: Apply during a dry, calm period when moss or algae is present. Avoid application before rain or where runoff could enter drains or waterways.

  1. Dissolve 30 g (about 2 tablespoons) in 1 litre of water and spray the affected hard surface.
  2. Do not rinse off. Allow the surface to dry, then sweep away the treated growth.
  3. Do not apply to lawns.
  4. Use for copper-deficient soil only where the current label supports that use.
Current label takes priority. Follow the current pack directions before use.

Helpful gardening notes

Getting a better result

  • Test a small inconspicuous area first because copper products may mark or discolour some surfaces.
  • Prevent spray drift and runoff onto desirable plants, soil, ponds, streams or stormwater drains.
  • Physical cleaning and improving sunlight or drainage can reduce recurring moss and algae.

Safe use

Important precautions

Important: Use only for applications stated on the current pack label. Copper sulphate can be harmful to aquatic life.

  • Wear gloves and eye protection and avoid breathing spray or dust.
  • Keep children and pets away until the treated surface is dry.
  • Avoid release to waterways and follow the current label for disposal and environmental precautions.
  • Keep securely stored in the original container.
